How do you write a song?

Writing a song might seem intimidating, but it's really not that hard. I'm going to show you the . easy steps for writing a good song.

Step 1: Pick an instrument. You need to pick an instrument to write it on. I find it easier to write on my guitar or piano, but whatever works for you.

Step 2: Pick your chords. Find a chord progression that you like (It doesn't have to have a lot of chords. Many good songs only have 3 or 4 chords in them). Once you find these chords, practice playing the progression so that you can transition from chord to chord easier.

Step 3: Structure your song. What do I mean when I say structure? I mean take the chords that you just played, and find a progression that you like for the verse, prechorus, chorus, and bridge.

For the verse: Depending on the type of song you're writing, make it soft and subtle.
